Mr. Prescott is excited to begin his tenth year of teaching as the new Assistant Band Director at Moseley Middle School. With nearly a decade of experience, he spent the previous nine years at Colleyville Middle School in GCISD, where he directed the Symphonic Band, assisted with the Honors and Concert Bands, and taught Beginner Brass classes.

During his tenure at Colleyville, Mr. Prescott helped lead his students to numerous achievements, including three TMEA Honor Band Finalist submissions (2019, 2022, 2024). Under his assistance, the Colleyville Middle School Band also performed at the prestigious 2018 Midwest Clinic and Convention, in addition to consistently earning UIL Sweepstakes awards.

Mr. Prescott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s Degree from Texas Christian University, where he served as the Graduate Assistant for the Trombone Studio.

He is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and the International Trombone Association.

When he’s not teaching, Mr. Prescott enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Ellen, and their dog, Rocket.
